Into your hand

My life, ever mine, now passes
into your hand
My heart, turned to darkness by time
awakens at great cost to become
just as certainly, yours

My love, undeserving and callous, becomes
constant and free in your arms
My soul, takes a fearful and hope-filled
breath–and steps from the shadows
into your light

Destinies entwine
Naked and true
