Shelter from the wind

Alone
In a vast field between
Heaven and Hell
In the cold
In the wind

Like lightning
Your hand in mine
Your arms around me
Pulling the fallen, the dead,
Homeward

You are the home I never had

Here, now, with you
Passion and mystery
Awaken in a heart that
Once was stone
My hand in your hand

Your heat becomes my warmth
Your breath intertwines with mine
Though the vision of you
Stops me for long moments
You smile

And we, together, find happiness and
Shelter from the wind
