To join indeed
To clasp
To embrace
In the warmth of the night…
To yoke together

This union
This combination
This new beginning
Stretching out into eternity

We are one

From this moment
To the next
Carried on every heartbeat
Every future breath of air

I look in your eyes

I see in your heart
This revolving
March of destiny

As long as the stars have spun
We were traveling here-

-Here where your hand
With mine

and romance like that is not found often, i must say, but in the end it exists 🙂

wow! I like it. There is “tenderness” there, right there in the telling!!!

  4. thanks for stopping by! i enjoyed this and your poem gave me two images: one of a romantic love, and two of identical twins in the womb. i dont know what u were going for but i like both ideas 😉

I had never thought of the twins angle…but that is the cool thing about words once they are put together: they take on a life independent of their author’s brain and sail, like the proverbial message in the bottle, to God only knows where. Thanks for making me see this one in a new way (:

Mmmm, beautiful, I love the idea of eternal oneness here. I think love is expressed so much better in these short poems.
