Utu

Something rises in the mountains of the east
It brings judgment
It bears a pruning hook

The words left here
Pass less as stars
Than as laughter

Dreams wait
For the truth
For the law

And as it rises-

The constant heart haunts frozen syllables
A searing quiet in the presence of
The long fearful call of its name

-Horns in the night

Something sets in the mountains of the west
In his path there is justice
Its light is the light in her eyes

The sun is ablaze in both of our hearts
