The impalings of my soul

These wounds, my Love, are now Yours
You’ve taken them from me
every cut, every piercing, every vain tear and all the varied impalings
of my soul – they now pass to You

And You smile as You take each one
You unwrap them in joy,
in mirth

And, in this Holiest of moments,
You entwine Your hand with mine,
and smile

For You know I am completely
and forever
Yours
