The final story embraced

Somewhere

Veiled love
Unveiled at last
That which was woven, entwined

Is rewoven in full view
Of the future, the past

Do you see it now?

Somewhere
A roaming flame in the night
Crimson, seamless

It chooses, dances, displays

A hymn sung to deaf ears
Syllables, breath
Plunging through the mists
Past the blooms unfurled
Under heaven’s blazing stars

Do you hear it?
See it?
Feel it?

Invisible red
Like a rose
In which God lays faith,
Plants hope
Amidst and among the these graves

Do you not sense its advance?
Its conclusion is coming on

And somewhere

Love

Made real
Made true
Made one
Passes out of mind
Memory
And out of hand

Into one final embrace
