Aphrodite

Amongst entwined blankets of myrtle
Amidst the call of doves
and sparrows

I find you

From the foaming waters
Your eyes like oceans
of the deepest gold and green

Under the bluest of skies…

Your beauty makes it all pale
in shamefaced comparison

Beautiful lady
Who comes to me at dusk
to haunt my dreams

Whose shadow does not fade at midday
But outshines the sun

Take my hand
We will forge a new world
together

We are one
